FEMINE

The power of the young female contemporary dance scene

Double bill performance “The "Femine" represents the meeting of two choreographers whose roots are  from Serbia; Rita Gobi from Hungary and Aleksandra Madsen from Croatia.

The dance interweaving of the choreographers and their mutual dance conversations are set in the contemporary form of an interconnected diptych called "Femine" for five dancers. which assume a single identity; the identity of young artists and promoters of the "young" contemporary dance scene in Serbia and in Slovenia.

Each of the choreographers at some point was faced with the influence of the concept of boundaries in an active relationship with time. They had the experience of splitting and transforming their personal and cultural identity, encountering the concept of meaninglessness at different levels of life. At some point, through the feeling of their own displacement, both internal and external, they accepted that mechanism on the one hand as hope, and on the other, as absurd.
